Macros are an essential part of MMORPG play. They allow users to set a single key or simple combination to execute a variety of commands. This can allow users to send a message such as “heal me now” to the group, or cast a spell while sending a message. This allows people to be much more effective in group play where quick actions and reactions are as necessary as proper communication.

Although there is no information regarding how to execute macros, or what will be possible with macros for Vanguard, we know they’ll be in place. There simply can not be a game of this kind without an effective macro system.
