VG Vanguard Houses


There will be player built houses, but these will not exist on a permanent, fixed basis. Instead, housing in Vanguard is taking a semi-permanent approach. Players can set up houses as a sort of camp for launching campaigns into nearby areas.

A team of crafters will be able to set up a house or small town fairly quickly. A guild can then use that location as a temporary base. Houses will require upkeep, so after you’ve finished leveling or questing in the area near your house, just demolish the building, and move to a new location.

Buildings can also be destroyed by monsters, or on PvP servers, other players. They will have hit-points, so buildings should not be left unprotected in hostile areas. This may require guilds to establish a patrol for a very important and vulnerable outpost. When a building is destroyed, it will retain it’s storage, but the items stored in the House will not be recoverable until the building is repaired at a high cost to the player.
