Q: What is Vanguard: Saga of Heroes?
A: Vanguard: SoH is a new MMORPG from Sigil. Some of the major designers working on Vanguard were involved in the creation of Everquest. They’re bringing this wealth of experience, and the lessons learned from all games of the genre in the construction of this, the most ambitious MMORPG ever built.

Q: What is a MMORPG?
A: The acronym stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. It’s a game type where thousands of players coexist in a persistent world. Your characters will level-up and be able to quest to contribute to the growing storyline.

Q: What type of characters can I choose from?
A: You will be able to select from 19 different races, and 15 different classes. These character types are taken from High Fantasy fiction and Role Playing games. You can find the list with details on each one in another section of this site.

Q: When will Vanguard be released?
A: That information is not yet available. The game is currently in Beta testing. The current estimate for release is early months of 2007.

Q: Will there be mounts in Vanguard?
A: There will be mounts. All character can ride horses, and should be able to acquire personal mounts fairly early in the game. You will also be able to purchase a personal ship, and possibly even a wagon for caravan travel.

Q: Will there be player housing?
A: Yes, but it’s not expected to be permanent housing. Players can build a home in many areas of the game, but because your character will quickly outgrow any place you build a home, you will be able to tear down your house, and build it again in another location.
