There will be public NPC run boats, but for faster, more elegant travel, players can craft their own ships. The vast waters of Vanguard will be filled with tiny islands, sea-going monsters, and pirates. Boat travel will never be the boring, sandwich-making hour that it has been in other games.

There will be many locations to explore with a personal boat including elusive islands, and deep underwater locations far in the middle of the ocean. Every RPG with boat travel has also had a secret island; it’s required somewhere in the game developer’s code.
