Vanguard will have five crafting professions: Blacksmith, Woodcrafter, Stonecrafter, Herbalist, and Outfitter. A character will be able to choose one Primary profession, and one secondary profession. The primary will be able to craft all manner of exotic and refined objects, while the secondary profession will be limited to only the basic items of the craft.

Crafting is one of the three spheres of the character class. A crafter will be able to level up the crafting sphere without ever adventuring if desired. However, the Harvesting class a player chooses is a component of the adventuring sphere. This does not mean that a player needs an adventuring class leveled to harvest, but the player must go out into the world and can be attacked.

The craft list with main products is listed below. For larger projects such as buildings or ships, many, and perhaps all craft skills will be required for completion.
